Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?
Here at Benbrook UMC, we are a laid back group of people. We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable, and as such, we invite you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Where do I park?
For Sunday morning worship, we suggest parking in the Bryant St. parking lot beside the Sanctuary, however, extra parking is available on the Mildred St. side of the building as well as in the lot further down by the Education wing and our Christian Life Center.

How long is the service?
Services tend to be about an hour. However, on game days, the pastor has been known to cut short for kick-off!

What if my child gets a little fidgety or loud during service?
Don’t worry, it’s okay! We understand that children can be a little loud at times and an hour worship service can be a long time for the young ones. So, we offer multiple ways to help you out. First, we have the children’s coloring books that are available in the Narthex as you enter the sanctuary. Don’t see one? Ask any one of the Greeter’s and they will be glad to help you find one. Second, we have Children’s Church (JAM) following the Choir Anthem.   In JAM, the children experience just that… Church! With singing, prayer, a sermonette by the Children’s Director, and Communion, they learn about what goes on in “Big Church.”  They may play a game or have a craft to reinforce the lesson.
